About the class

Grab a friend, lover or co-worker and join us in our pop up studio in Ponsonby for our Sip & Sculpt handmade pasta bowl class. Take just over an hour out of your day and get set for summer dinning with the first piece to your very own set of bowls

Perfect for those with no experience. We provide you with everything, all you need to do, is turn up. This class takes around 1.5 hours, during this time you will make 2 of your very own pasta bowls and a condiment dish using one of our Author slab molds. Included in the price is a non-alcoholic drink each and your finished work. All work will all be fired and ready for collection approximately 8 weeks later or at our August popup.

The class gives you the chance to learn the very basics of Hand-building and slab work. You will be guided through the entire process, where you can relax, get creative and get messy. Come on your own or with friends, this is an open, friendly environment.

Please note, tickets are non-refundable. If you are not able to make the class on the night, we will make all the items for you so you don't miss out.

What will I make during my class?

During your class time, you will make your main piece / pieces (depending on which class you are joining). In each class you will also start by making a few pinch pots which can be used as condiment bowls or jewellery dishes etc.

We hold our classes during our pop-ups at Ponsonby Central. We are located in shop 4a right by the main entrance on Ponsonby Road, you can't miss us!

Where is my class within Ponsonby Central?

Ponsonby Central has five pop up spaces. You will find us either in shop 4a or 4d. Shop 4a has high visibility sitting proud at the front entrance of Ponsonby Central so you can't miss us. Shop 4d is situated between Boar & Blade and Chop Chop, just within the front entrance as well.

How long are the classes?

Each class is around 1.5 - 2 hours.

Please note, tickets are non-refundable. If you are not able to make the class on the night, we will make all the items for you so you don't miss out.

What should I wear?

Ponsonby Central is full of amazing restaurants and our classes are a perfect addition to dinner for a fun night out. Dress up or down, the choice is yours. Hand building can be relatively tidy work and you will be set up with an apron, however we can't guarantee you don't get a drop on your clothes.

Do I need to wear closed footwear?

Nah.

Do I need to bring anything along?

Nope! We have everything you need.

How does the glaze process work?

All pieces are glazed with a clear glaze to showcase our clay blends, all work is then dishwasher safe.

How long does it take to receive my finished piece?

Around 8 weeks.

Can I buy a voucher for a workshop?

We offer vouchers for our store, which can be used to purchase workshops, however if you are concerned that the desired date will be booked out before you gift the voucher, get in touch and we can create a voucher specifically for you.

How often do you hold pop ups?

We try to have around three pop ups booked ahead of time, around six a year.
